After spending many years in the restaurant industry, I have found that customer service is where I belong. I have also learned that serving one person at a time is far more sane and conducive to a longer, more peaceful life. That is why I went back to college and studied barbering, and eventually opened my own shop where I could set the pace, the quality and the atmosphere. As an avocation, my wife Dode and I both sing barbershop harmony in our respective groups and have sung together leading worship in our church, as well as with many professional ensembles in the area. I also sing with three other gentlemen from my barbershop chorus in a senior quartet, and we rehearse...in the barbershop! I know...go figure. We also have enjoyed boating for many years, and usually spend our vacations somewhere on or near the water.
